my fam n i took a stroll in Mekarsari which is used for fruit plantation and also outdoor games which are dedicated mostly for kids
it's located pretty far from central of Jakarta, approx in Cileungsi KM 3
actually my fam n i didn't plan to go there, but that day we were arnd that area
(graveyard of my Grandpa...u see, every beginning or end of the yr, one of my family member will get this dream of my grandpa telling them stuff like, "You haven't visit my grave for a long time". so, there we are 'visiting' him, bring some flowers and his fav food of all, instant noodle)
hav nothing to do afterwards, and the day is still young, we decided to pick up some fruit in Mekarsari. but b4 that, as we alwawys do, we took some lunch in nearby restaurant called 'Danau sth..' or Lake as it's located beside a huge lake.
this is a compliment from the rest. a preserved-cassava-like fruit with spicy sweet sauce. nice n refreshing, but a wee bit too spicy
7/10 for appetizer...can be toned down on its spicy level
this is chef's recommendation in this rest which is crab in spicy sauce
6.5/10 pretty nice..not a big fan on crab with loads of hard shell
ok, so this is a special melon or honeydew that is being breed in Mekarsari.
it has a texture of cucumber but taste like melon. n really sweet too!

the idea of picking this fruit is to pick ones with 2 dying leaves on top of the fruit, which u can see in this pic.
with 40k rupiah fee to get a tour in this place, i think it's really worth it. u get to pick one honeydew (in prev pic), one bucket of this fruit from zalacca tree, a bottle of juice a souvenir (i took pens and sauce saucer), etc
well, that's the end of my fruity journey.
