Mission to find good food

So i've been on a mission to find awesome restaurant/shops to eat in Jakarta
(for a very long time)
some are fine, some are ridiculously awful, rarely would find one that meet my expectation.
I find Jakarta is a big city with a good sense of fashion and creativity, but zero in terms of great taste of food.
often u'll find cool interior design in a restaurant here, but the food doesn't add up.
loads of restaurant here attract the eyes (kitchen inspired, bathroom inspired), not so much of ur other senses (tummy)
maybe im just a person with so much ranting, but I proudly can say that im one's can't trick with physical prettines. only.

Last sunday i went with a bunch of peeps to try this restaurant in 2-Se3450n Hotel (name changed for no-future-trial purposes). its dimsum buffet for USD$11. the price is ok, but the food is not.
shrimp- not fresh, and as u know most of chinese dim sum use this ingredient
dessert- not a buffet coz u only can order once, with a very very small portion
taste- just OK and not hotel-standard for me.

So overall my sunday almost ruined BUT! i found The Deli.
there's something awesomely-great about bakery shop.
probably it's the lines of racks of bread goodness.
probably it's the smell of freshly-baked dough.
probably it's the display that is being maximized to attract customer's eye.
or it's probably just because sour-dough smell makes me hungry.
this bakery shop rescued my sunday blues. bought chocolate croissant and meat pie.
I ate the croissant for breakfast and it's super yums.

Mood: a good thick coffee, which is very rare for me. can't drink any tho, or the lion (read: me) won't sleep tonightt...du dudu du dudu dududu didi dum dum boweaa.

Xx,

Lo
