CNY'09

it's been a week after cny,
so i thought i better start of reviewing cny foodiess b4 it sounds too lame and late
=D
it's a gr8 dayy but it went away too quick this yr
doing nothing but suddenly it's time for all of my cousins to go back home.
this yr CNY was celbr8d in my house where ard 70 to 100 ppl turn up this yr
(yepp got a loadz of relatives, eh?)
receive red envelopes with money...used it for nintendo DS last sunday. (wohoo)
anywho, let's just jump to the good stuff:

!!FOOD!!

there's a total abt 17 different dishes made, brought, and bought for this special day and i took (not so) several pictures of 'em. here u go:

first off, is garlic chicken. didn't try this one, but eat it plenty of times b4.

wohooo the all time popular my grandma's chicken satay. this is everyone's fav and a must have in cny plate. come with spicy peanut sauce. nyumzz

my grandma's fried rice noodle. not salty enuf for me. 6/10


next up is egg-shitake-pork in soy sauce. pretty nice. not my fav tho. 6/10


another grandma's popular dish, chicken ball soup with potato, little pasta and carrot.
sorry that u couldn't see the filling. too hungry to take a good pic. haha

japanese tofu in dark soya sauce and black pepper beef. didn't try this one. not a usual dish in cny meal
it's bought in a rest near my house



fried noodle. nyumz2..like it, but a little bit too sweet with it's soy sauce
and the texture is a little bit too overcooked (and i even like an overcooked noodle, so can u imagine how soft this one is?)
while at the back of the noodle, that's another entrance in my most wanted list for CNY: fried prawn ball. note: it's gotta be chewy to be tasty. this one worth a 7/10


my family's favourite salad: bride salad made by my aunt. it's called bride salad coz it's usually cooked and served in a wedding.


anywho, i might gain some few pounds with 3 big meals and 3 little ones
but man this thing only comes once in a yr.
screw it...
